Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (CPI) is essential for those providing services to students in specialized support classrooms and situations and when creating a school crisis response team. Strategies to promote care, welfare, safety and security® for the individuals in your charge, even in violent moments, are taught. Please wear comfortable clothes and closed-toe shoes with non-skid soles, such as tennis shoes. Both days, Friday and Saturday, are required. Please bring a sack lunch on Saturday.


Friday January 31st, 2020 4-8PM
- Introduction to course and participants
- “Due Care” rules for all participants
- Pre-Test
- Units 1 through 7

Saturday February 1st, 8am – 4pm
- Review Units 1 through 7
- Review “Due Care” rules again
- Unit 8 – Disengagement Skills (physical practice/test)
- Unit 9 – Holding Skills (physical practice/test)
- Unit 10 – Postvention lecture
- Post-Test
